Is a boiler flue guard the same as a flue cover?

Unlike a flue guard which is simply designed to stop debris from entering your boiler a flue cover does more by adding overhead protection to stop, for example, birds from sitting or pooping on the flue and especially helpful in diverting and preventing overflowing gutters from causing water to enter the flue and endangering or damaging your boiler.
